Yummy Festive Summer Drink

So I will delve into the nitty gritties of Scott's full fun birthday weekend a little later, but I really wanted to share the most delicious alcoholic bev ever. Scott and I made it for his little birthday gathering the other day, and from what I was told, they were banging.

1. Raspberry Lemonade Strawberry Jello Shots (in lemon and limes)
Basically, we made jello shots using flavorless gelatin, raspberry lemonade and strawberry vodka. We poured the liquid into empty lemon and lime halves to cool. After they were cool we cut them into quarters! I got the idea from Here.

2. Warhead Punch
With the insides of the lemons and limes (which had been scooped out for the jello shots), we marinated the strawberry vodka (about half of a fifth bottle). In a bowl we let the lemons, limes (approximately 5 'insides' of each), vodka, 4 ounces of cranberry juice cocktail, and 8 ounces of mountain dew sit in a bowl in the freezer. After four hours, we strained the mixture. We made sure to really mash the lemons and limes to get all the juices out of them. Then, we mixed about 1/3 alcoholic mixture with 2/3 strawberry soda and served cold! Everyone told me that the drink was DELICIOUS. Apparently it was tart and citric-perfect for Cinco De Mayo. It is definitely my go-to drink to make for parties, now!

Everyone had a great time celebrating with Scotty! It was a birthday that kept on going, and I know he really enjoyed himself.
I love you, Scotty!
